'Tis the season Christmas is finally here! It is time to start thinking about how you want to design your space for the holiday season. While many trends come and go, this year's trends give off that timeless feel. Although it doesn't always dictate how you decorate. Many have sentimental décor that comes out every year. The wonderful thing about trends is that they don't fit into one category. It can be for anyone. There is something fresh and new that still gives off an updated feel. Today’s blog is here to inform you of all the different Christmas trends for 2022 in your home. We’ll talk about neutrals, natural elements, and color scheme inspirations.

Neutrals

This season, we want to create a cozy atmosphere for all things Christmas. A comfortable place to enjoy time together with those we love. Neutral color palettes and natural organic materials are popular this year. A snowy walk in the woods is the inspiration for this year. Christmas 2022 is all about soft hues, for example, blue paired with white. Which we will get into more. If the space is already colorful, that's no problem. Create a gorgeous neutral effect with accents. Use one or two bold colors paired with a tone-on-tone neutral color palette.

Natural Elements

Bringing the outdoors inside has been a big trend since 2020. That organic feel brings in a sense of relaxation. In recent years, everyone has wanted less fake and more real. For example, a real garland placed on the mantle or through the staircase. Some people may not want to clean and maintain the needles. That's okay! Get realistic-looking faux greenery that will pass for the real thing. Consider what you would find on a walk through the woods. Bringing in scented pinecones and acorns is very big this year. Flocked and white trees are also extremely desirable. It gives off that natural, earthy energy.

Color Scheme Ideas

As mentioned above, Christmas this year emphasizes the timelessness and beauty of nature. With white trees and hints of bold colors, it can be tricky to pick a palette. Here are some ideas; you cannot go wrong with following these colors. The first is white; it is bright and gives the illusion of freshly fallen snow. Next is metallic silver and gold, both of which give emphasis to a sparkling perspective. Moving on to all shades of green because it is associated with leaves, trees, grass, etc. Soft blue and pink are placed throughout the home. Lastly, cream and milk colors bring in some warm tones that make any atmosphere extra cozy.
