How To Decorate Entryways
Entryways can be hard to decorate at times. Mainly because it is a small scale space. It is the first area guests enter when they come into your home. The entryway represents the rest of your home. Maybe yours is bare and you do not know what to do with it. Many things do not need to be added, it is just adding something here and there. Figuring out how to decorate it can be tricky. Everyone's entryways are different sizes. It might be too small and you do not know what to do. It might be too big to where it gets overwhelming, no matter the size we are here to help! Here are three ways to decorate an entryway.
Decorate the Console Table
If you don’t have one already, it would be a good idea to consider getting one. It is good to put things that you need to grab right before you leave the house like keys. There are some easy ways to style it. Such as putting some type of mirror up right above it whether it be round or square. An art piece hung up would look nice as well. If you like the idea of both you could hang a mirror up then put a smaller art piece in front just like the picture above. If you still have room a small lamp and a vase with flowers would look nice. You could even stack some books and put the pieces on top of it.
Add Some Fun Elements
A good way to add character to an entryway is adding a fun tile. It adds color and brings in energy. Tile brings a distinct look and creates a better flow in a small area. Another fun thing to add is wallpaper. Not on all four walls but as an accent wall. For example you can add it behind the wall with the console table. Depending on what you pick it can make the space look bigger and less crowded.
Style a Bench
This is sort of like the same concept as the console table. Decor pieces could be put on the bench like pillows and purses. A mirror could be added along with hooks underneath it. Adding hooks would be perfect for hanging keys, hats, coats, etc. Under the bench is great for storage. Baskets and bins can be placed to hold shoes making it less cluttered. If you wanted a console table and a bench could both be added to the entry. Only if you have enough space for one on each side of the door.
